GUNJAT GOORH GAJAAN KE SUNDER HINSAT HAE HAYRAJ HAZAARE

with many beautiful elephants roaring and thousands of superior horses making noises.

gunjat: roaring, goorh: high, many, gajaan: elephants, sunder: beautiful, hinsat: the noise that horses make, hayraj: superior horse, hazaare: thousands

 

BHOOT BHAVIKH BHAWAAN KE BHOOPAT KAON GANE NAHI-N JAAT BICHAARE

Such kings have existed in the past, present and future, nobody can count their numbers.

Bhoot: past, bhavikh: future, bhawaan: present, bhoopat: kings, kaon: who, Gane: count, bichaare: think, determine, nahi-n jaat bichaare: cannot be determined

But without remembering the Supreme Master, God, (all those armies and victories were of no use), at the end they all departed for their final destination (died) leaving everything behind.

Sri pat: the master, sri bhagwaan: God, bhaje: remembering with love and devotion, bin: without, ant ko: at the end, dhaam: destination, ant ke dhaam: final destination, sidhaare: leave.

 

This is a good opportunity to memorize Gurbani, one Pauri at a time. You can concentrate better and enjoy more if you recite bani without looking at the gutka.
